Guitar Arrangement: I Will Be Here Fingerstyle Tabs
Several years ago, when I was learning the classical guitar, I often visited the UP Diliman College of Music and I spent some time viewing some of the classical guitar books available in the library.
I will be here
When you feel like being quiet
When you need to speak your mind
I will listen
And I will be here
When the laughter turns to crying
Through the winning, losing and trying
We’ll be together
‘Cause I will be here
At one time, I was walking in the hallway, I heard someone playing the guitar. I stopped for a while and listen to his playing. And then he started to play the song “I Will Be Here”. And I was so amazed on the way he rendered the song on the guitar. I never thought during that time that a song like “I Will Be Here” can be played on solo guitar. Where melody and the accompaniment are articulated at the same time.
When I finally learned how to arranged a song into a guitar solo piece, I immediately tried to arranged I Will Be Here. At first I had a hard time figuring out how to arranged the song because of the Eb Major original key. It is quite complicated to use the original key, as much as possible an open string key is the best for any guitar arrangements. And so I decided to render the song in the key of A Major. In this manner, the melody and accompaniment are achieved in the arrangement.
And so I hope you find this arrangement suitable in your guitar repertoire. This is I Will Be Here by Steven Curtis Chapman on fingerstyle guitar.
